MBMI Alternative Spring Break Recap

Last week, the Mizzou Black Men’s Initiative (MBMI) went on their annual Alternative Spring Break trip where they spent 5 days in the city of Dallas, TX.  Collectively, the group of 22 students performed over 250+ hours of community service working with the HIV/AIDS community and Resource Center of Dallas, attended a Mizzou Alumni Networking event, visited the Dallas Zoo and toured the city.  This year, MBMI partnered with Mizzou Alternative Breaks to round out the 52 trips that went on an Alternative Spring Break trip. To see photos and reflection recaps from the MBMI trip as well as the other Mizzou Alternative Breaks trips, please visit the muasb.blogspot.com

Black AIDS Day 2014

National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day is a national HIV testing and treatment community mobilization initiative targeted at Blacks in the United States and the Diaspora. Come learn more about the HIV/AIDS epidemic and update your status with free, rapid, and confidential HIV testing administered by the Boone County Department of Public Health and Human Services.  Free educational information, condoms, stickers and more will also be provided.

2014 Blood Brothers Blood Drive

We challenge YOU to give the “Gift of Life” by donating blood at the 4th Annual Blood Brothers Blood Drive. The drive will take place Wednesday, January 29th  from 9am – 3pm in Stotler Lounge I – Memorial Union. This blood drive is open to the public. Walk-ins are welcome but appointments are encouraged. To make your appointment for the Blood Brothers Blood Drive, please follow directions below.

2. If you are already registered with the Red Cross, sign-in, if not then you need to register as a new user.
3. Select your desired appointment time and follow directions to complete your appointment.
