Life Music Series w/ Alicia Reve
Be sure to join us in The Shack for the first Life Music Series event of the spring semester for live music, free food and good fun. This event will feature live music from Mizzou Alum and songstress, Alicia Revé, as well as several talented Mizzou student artists. Doors open at 6:30pm and the show starts at 7:00pm. Sister 2 Sister Brunch
Join the us for the “Sister 2 Sister Brunch” as we fellowship with MU students, faculty/staff, and community members during Women’s History Month while enjoying delicious food and hearing an inspirational message. This event will take place on Sunday, March 9th at 11am in the Gaines/Oldham Black Culture Center. This event is free but attendees are required to RSVP below by 5:00pm on March 5th. Am I Still Black If?
“Am I Still Black If?” is a forum focused on challenging the notion of what it means to be Black in 2014. It will address topics related to colorism, Greek Life, “good hair”, and suburban, urban, and rural impacts. The event will take place on Wednesday, February 12th at 5:30pm in the GOBCC Large Multipurpose room. The event is sponsored by the Gaines/Oldham black culture Center, The National Pan Hellenic Council, and the Legion of Black Collegians.
